Because Lailides is designed specifically for ladies with cup sizes ranging from AA to B, our sizing is a little bit different.
At our customers’ request and to accommodate all different shapes and sizes in the smaller range, we are now offering 4 bra sizes. Lailides’ bras are available in size 1 which fits a 30-34 AA-A, size 2 which fits a 36 – 38 AA-A, size 3 which fits 30 – 34 A – B and size 4 which fits a 36 - 38 A-B. Chemises and camisoles follow standard sizing except in the chest: a S/M will fit AA-A cups and M/L will fit A-B cups. Panties follow standard sizing.
How to Measure
Step 1. Band Size
Method 1
While standing straight and wearing a regular bra, wrap the tape measure around your chest, above the bust, just under your arms with your arms down. Make sure the tape is straight all the way around you. Pull the tape until it is snug but not restrictive or pinching.
Round this measurement to the nearest even number. That's your band size or rib cage measurement.
Example: measurement: 33" = 34 band size
Method 2
While standing straight and wearing a regular bra, wrap the tape measure around your chest, just under the bust. Make sure the tape is straight all the way around you. Pull the tape until it is snug but not restrictive or pinching.
Round this measurement to the nearest whole number. If the measurement is even, add 4". If the measurement is odd, add 5". That's your band measurement.
Example: measurement 31" = 36 band size
We recommend you use the larger of these two methods.
Step 2. Cup Size
While still standing and wearing a regular bra, wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust. Again, pull the tape until it is snug but not pinching or digging into your bust.
Make sure the tape is straight all the way around the fullest part of your bust. If you are in between whole numbers for this measurement, round to the nearest whole number. If you're directly in between two whole numbers, round to the next largest whole number.
Example: 32.5" = 33"
Now, subtract your rib cage measurement (Step 1) (prior to rounding up or adding inches) from the whole-numbered measurement in Step 2 and convert the difference to your cup size according to the following:
Difference: Less than 1 inch: AA cup
1 inch: A cup
Up to 2 inches: B cup
Example: Cup size measurement: 33" - band size measurement 32" = 1" which corresponds to an A cup
Final result: 32A
